The idea is because petrol or paint thinner dissolves paint quickly, and I use it as a cleaning agent.
Material Need For Cleaning Paint Gun Using Thinner Or Petrol
- Thinner or petrol

Step 1: Dissolve The Paint Using Petrol Or Tina
After you have finished spraying remove the remaining paint from the paint cup and pour some thinner or petrol into the paint cup.
Step 2: Spray Out The Remaining Paint
Now turn on your machine, press the trigger, and let the petrol or thinner spray out from the nozzles.
Once thinner passes through the nozzle every paint that is remaining in the nozzle pipe we flush out immediately.
Continuous spraying until you notice that the nozzle is free from paint. If there are any blockages, use a needle or tiny stick to clean the nozzle.
It is also advisable to adjust the fluid control knob so the pressure of the thinner would help flush out the paint.
Step 3: Lose The Nozzles and needles
This time, you have to lose the Nozzles and needle then put it inside the paint cup or container and wash it with the remaining thinner or petrol.
Wash the nozzle lock inside the cup; you can also shake the cup by holding the cover with your hand so the thinner won’t pour out.
Step 4: Unscrew The Tank And Pour Out The Thinner
Empty the contents of the paint tank before unscrewing it. The remaining contents of the tank can be transferred to another container to avoid waste.
Make sure to wash the connection between the tank and the gun and clear the pipe using a needle or toothpick.
Step 5: Wash The External Paint Gun
Wash the body of the spray gun using a rag, brush, and thinner. Ensure necessary parts are being clean to avoid freezing.
Gun manufacturers recommend never immersing the gun completely in cleaning fluid.
The main manufacturers advise keeping the gun connected to the airline throughout the manual cleaning process and running a small amount of air.
